Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. in Ayurveda
To apply for admission to the Ph.D. in Ayurveda program, candidates must fulfill the following conditions:

Educational Qualification

The candidate must have completed a Postgraduate Degree (MD/MS in Ayurveda) in the concerned subject from a recognized university/institution.

Candidates with a postgraduate degree in Ayurveda-related/allied sciences (such as Ayurveda Pharmacy, Medicinal Plants, Ayurveda Biology, etc.) may also be considered as per university norms.

Minimum Marks Requirement

A minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the postgraduate examination is required.

For SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PwD candidates, a relaxation of 5% (i.e., minimum 50% marks) is applicable as per government rules.

Entrance Examination

Admission is generally based on a Ph.D. entrance test conducted by the university (covering Research Methodology, Ayurveda Samhitas, Clinical and Non-clinical subjects, etc.).

Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, AYUSH-NET, or equivalent exams may be exempted from the entrance test, depending on university regulations.
