Rachana Sharir
Rachana Sharir

Introduction:
Rachana Sharir is the branch of Ayurveda that deals with the study of the structure of the human body. It is equivalent to Anatomy in modern medical science. The subject provides detailed knowledge of body composition, including bones (Asthi), muscles (Mamsa), vessels (Sira), joints (Sandhi), and vital organs (Marma), along with the unique Ayurvedic concepts of Sharir Rachana.
Understanding Rachana Sharir is fundamental for medical students, as it forms the basis of clinical practice, surgical procedures, and therapeutic interventions. It bridges classical Ayurvedic concepts with modern anatomical understanding, thereby strengthening the foundation for both preventive and curative aspects of healthcare.
